Dating back to the iconic 1980 Redline catalogue, the Redline Super Proline "Brute" stem embodied the vision and direction that BMX and its forward-thinking brands were headed. Gone were the heavy, cumbersome “Clamp”-style stems inspired by motorcycle technology. In their place emerged a new era of BMX innovation, defined by stylised, purpose-built forged-aluminium stems engineered for strength, reliability, and weight reduction. The Redline Super Proline, with its distinctive profile and forward-thinking design, adorned performance-level race bikes like the Redline Proline and Microline, as well as the PL-24 Cruiser and Redline Carrera. Even today, its DNA is evident in modern BMX stems—a testament to Redline’s lasting influence and the vision that set the standard during the sport's magical, original era.
Available in five anodised colours—Black, Silver, Red, Gold, and Blue—with contrast-painted centre panels and nestled in a custom foam-lined presentation box, the Redline Vintage “Brute” is authentic, beautifully finished, and worthy of any show bike from the late 1970s or early 1980s BMX era.
